Privacy Policy
Ytronic Corp ("we") publishes Canadian Stock Trader from Calgary, Alberta. We handle personal information under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you subscribe: your email address, your first name if you choose to give it, and a record of your consent (the date and time, the signup page, the consent wording and your confirmation click).
- When you read the newsletter: our email platform records basic delivery and engagement data, such as whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked, so we can keep the list healthy.
- When you contact us: what you send us.
- This website has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies at this time.
Why we collect it
Only to send you the newsletter you asked for, to keep a record of your consent as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) requires, to answer your messages, and to understand which content readers find useful. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with sponsors or affiliate partners.
Our email platform (service provider)
We will use a third-party newsletter platform to store the subscriber list and send emails. It processes your information on our behalf and under our instructions. Its servers may be outside Canada (for example in the United States), so your information may be subject to the laws of that country. We'll name the platform here before signups open.
Unsubscribing and your choices
- Every email includes an unsubscribe link. We act on unsubscribe requests right away, and always within 10 business days.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent, through our Contact page.
How long we keep it
We keep your subscription details while you're subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record (your email address and the date you unsubscribed) so we don't email you again, and a record of your original consent for as long as we may need to show it.
Safeguards
We limit access to subscriber data to the people who run the newsletter, use accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication, and choose service providers with appropriate security.
